Message |- | '''CharlesWestervelt''' <br/><br/><div class='poster-info'><img src='/public/Attachments/ForumNew.MainPage/NoAvatar.gif' /></div><br/>1/19/2007 1:51:02 PM | My father was in the ground crew of the 401st Bomb Group, 614th squadron. sometime in late 1944 or early 1945, he was transferred to a unit that consisted of small piper cub aircraft. i can only guess that he was assigned to a FA unit and these were the spotter planes for the artillery. <br/> <br/> i want to find out which unit my father was assigned to. he does not remember. all he remembers is going to France and being somewhere in Germany when the war ended.<br/> <br/> can anyone help me?<br/> <br/> Thanks,<br/> Charles Westervelt <br/><br/><br/> |}
