A Poem that was written by my then 12 year old Aunt.
The Alamo

Have you ever visited the Alamo
Where many well-educated people go?
There's where Texas was inspired,
There's where many a bullet was fired.
Mexico won -- Texas Lost.
Women and children paid the cost.
Travis, Bowie, Crockett fell;
All the rest fought very well.
That was the battle that lasted for days,
People were killed in many ways.
Trophies now lie in that old Alamo,
And if you ever get a chance, be sure and go.

of 12 years, Donna Vee McCarson of Aubrey, Texas, niece of Mrs. J.H. Bullock of Boling and appeared in the local paper.
