Memorial Day 2012

Lord I feel our Nation needs your help if we are to survive
As a Nation under God and be ready when you arrive
To judge our people one and all and decide where they should go.
When will this Judgement Day occur it’s not for us to know!

It’s more clear to me each day that our Nation we must save.
We’re chipping away at all the freedoms that our Founders gave
In that great document, the Constitution, it’s under attack today.
Enemies of our way of life think they can even tell us when to pray!

That’s digging pretty deep into the sacred soil on which we stand.
We must love our neighbor as ourselves with faith in our fellow man.
Our leaders must be Christian and subscribe to the “Golden Rule.”
Beware for there are some seeking high office who are the devils tool!

As we approach Memorial Day we think of those who’ve died
On the battlefields of the world, we honor them with pride.
They gave their lives and signed in blood a love-note for our land.
They stood up for their belief and followed God’s Command!

If you’ve lost a loved one in the battles that we’ve fought,
Rest assured that they’re now in Heaven enjoying what they bought
With all the misery, sweat and tears that comes in any war,
Forget the fact we may even go to war and don’t know what it is for!

Our flag will cast its shadow on the graves of those who die.
Their bodies rest in that sacred soil for which those flags still fly.
Jesus met each fallen hero at the gate and took them by the hand.
They got a hug from God Almighty for saving our precious land!
