I'm looking for any information on the above aircraft. This plane was shot down returning from a mission to Frankfurt over Belgium on March 2, 1944. I'm in need of pictures and any information you can share.
Thanks!

Probably a mistake in my reference.  There's a Sac Hound lost on the same date - 42-31467 , IN-J. There's a negative in the National Archives #65606AC.  The Air Force History Office can get you a copy of the Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) #2742. Don't have experience with them, but the Escape & Evasion Reports #s 1691, 199, 1995, 2116 can probably be obtained from the History office also....

Don;
Got your message and I thank you! Doug Conway is my uncle. I'm doing some independent research. Have come to find that the plane is the "Sac Hound". Would you by chance have any pics as I'm building a replica of the aircraft.
Thanks again!

Check with the National Archives website. Give them the negative number I gave you in my initial reply and they will send you a xerox copy of the photo so you know what it is, and brochures of companies that can pull the negative and make photos from it.  Ii've done this with a few photos of planes my dad had flown.
