I am trying to find out more info on the B17 that my father flew in during the war II. His name was Charles W. Marsh and he was the waist gunner.  He died in 1967, I was only 13 years old and don't know to much about what he went through during the war. I am trying to gather as much info as possible. I only know that he was a sergeant at the time and later given a battle field commission to the rank of Lt.. I only know that the aircraft name was "The Dent Maker".
Could you please help me with more information about him and the struggles he and his crew mates went through?
