My uncle was Lt. James W. Lynch. I was named after him James Lynch Soderberg. My mother, Jim's only sibling, passed away in 1985. I just found out last week he was in the 401st BG, 615 BS. He was killed on Aug 24, 1943 in a training bomb run in Montana. Accident report said PROBABLE CAUSE was LOSS OF CONTOL OF AIRCRAFT in thunder storm because of ABSENCE OF FLIGHT INDICATOR, MALFUNCTIONING BANK AND TURN INDICATER were contributing factors. I would like to find more information on the air crash and if anyone knew Jim. Lt. Stephen Wysocki escorted his remains back to Minneapolis on Aug 28. My e-mail is .
