Today, we’ll learn about San Antonio’s famous missions, but
before we do, we will stop in the Historic Market Square,
a favorite of San Antonio locals and tourists. Explore the
locally owned shops and grab a bite to eat, before we begin
our exploration of San Antonio’s famous Missions. Our tour

tell you about its history. Next on the list is Mission San Jose,
established in 1720 and considered the “Queen” of all the
missions. It is still an active Catholic church today and famous
for the Rose or Rosas window, a stone carved window. You’ll
have time to tour the mission and see the fi lm, introducing
you to mission life. The fi nal stop today is at the Alamo, the
cradle of Texas Liberty. Established in 1718 as San Antonio de
Valero (Alamo), it’s fi rst of the fi ve missions established here
by the Spanish government and the site of the famous battle
of 1836 where 189 men gave their lives for the freedom of

During your visit, learn the stories of immigrants who settled
in Texas and contributed to its modern, multicultural society.
We will then be taking a private river barge tour in the heart
