Summary: The 401st made up the Lead Box of the 94th Combat Wing, whose target was a V-1 rocket site, and part of a composite group assigned to attack a V-1 supply depot. Because of heavy clouds visual bombing was not possible, but the attacks were carried out using the Gee-H method, which utilizes radio beams from two or three radio stations. The Group's navigators felt confident that they had hit the target.
No enemy aircraft were encountered, and flak over the target was meager and inaccurate.
