The 401st provided 40 operational aircraft, which were brief in two sections. All times were moved up one hour, and by 1155 all operational aircraft were airborne. All aircraft had returned by 1724 hours.

Summary:
The forty aircraft supplied by the 401st were the second highest number the Group provided for a mission to date. The 401st made up the Low and High Boxes of the 94th Combat Wing. The Group reported seeing four enemy fighters, while flak was moderate but fairly accurate. Bombing results were described as fair.
