                                    <td style='vertical-align: top;'>Thanks a lot for this informations.<br>I believe it will be 42-6310 because there was some other photos of a crashed B-24 in the same area, September 10th a B-24 of the 446. was lost - so I see the single B-24 loss in the same area as the IY-P´s.<br>Hope to get some other photos maybe there´s more to see. The crash side must be Heimerdingen near Munich.<br>Regards from Germany  Michael<br></td>

                                    <td style='vertical-align: top;'>I believe the serial number should be 44-6310. No known photos in the National Archives.  There was no 43-6310 in the 401st according to the Bits and Pieces Project booklet that lists First Air Division B-17s by group and serial numbers.<br></td>
