Dear Sirs:I have a post card picture of a B17 that was in 401st Bg and wonder if you can tell anything about this air-craft history or the crew pilot and members in the crew when shot down etc.My Father was at Thorpe Abbott and was shot down 4/22/44 on a mission to Hamm, Paul "SWEDE" Carlson, was in the 100th Bg,349th Sq and his "P" was Lt. Harte. His was a POW in Stalag 17B and went to their re-union in SanDiego, Ca in May,2001.Thank You in advance.

Thank you Don for such quick responce about 231511 as I saw a picture of this plane on a post card and the Bg and thought maybe I could find something out about
this plane. My father was a TTE on the Lt. Harte crew and they flew out of Thorpe Abbotts w/the 100th Bg and the 100th had quit a record for losses it seems as the Germans seemed to seek them out. My Dad was a POW in Stalag 17B, in barracks 31B, shot down 4/22/44
maybe we can keep in touch with our PC's,Take care!

Hello Courtney
I have been doing some research on my Uncle Harveys
war years And he too was sent to Stalag 17B barracks
31B (shot down April 8th 1944 over Hanover Germany)He was with the 44th bomb group 67th squadron.Unfortunatly
he passed away years ago and I never got to talk to him. Any stories you know about from barracks 31B?
I also have pages from his P.O.W. journal.
Including a complete list of all the men in 31B!
What was your dads name?
