LASSIE COME HOME

Looking for anyone who flew or serviced this Fort. 612th Sq a/c 42-39943. She was lost May 7,'44 mission to Berlin. Pilot was Lt. Browning Grimmett. My uncle was S/sgt Wilbur C. Lauer. All crew was kia except Navigator R.K. Haines.

my father,Phillip C. Staley was tailgunner,flew 25 successful missions prior to her being lost. my dad is 84yrs. old and lives these days over every day!!!he can tell all from 1st day he flew! He is one of a verry few left.

My father in laws uncle was Lt. Grimmett, he still has his purple heart
