Getting copies of Missing Air Crew Reports

To get copies of MACRs, write to the Air Force History Support Office, HQ USAF/HO, Reference and Analysis Division, 500 Duncan Ave Box 94, Bolling AFB, Wash D.C.   20332-1111.  They would probably need the Date, Crew Pilot's name and Bomb Group.

Thanks for the info, but how can I get a copy of a mission
report. I am looking for C.L Wilsons crew report 401st/614th,
from the 4/13/44 mission. I want to find out what Aircraft
they were flying on this day. Also my Dad was WIA on this mission.

Dale Anderson   ...c.l.wilson shot down by fighters on mission to oscherleben on May 30,1944. Flying in aircraft 42-97440   "flak rat"..G.N. Pettit was tal gunner and POW. J.F. McMahon anf G.R. were KIA. Others POW.

I believe this thread already has the specific info you're looking for, but for your(and others') general info:

- 401BG Mission Reports: The original files are in the National Archives II, College Park, Md. (North of Wash. D.C.).  

- Other 401BG records: There are originals at HQ AFHRA/RSQ, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. This location also has (available for sale) several microfilm reels containing 401BG info.
