Sharp's crew flew from Jan 44 - May 44.  Unless something remarkable happened to the plane or crew during the mission, they didn't really keep track of B-17 serial numbers or nicknames on the loading lists until August 44.  The crew listing in Vic Maslen's booklet on the 613th lists the missions of the crew, but does not have any entries for the planes they flew. Unless a crew member is still around that remembers a particular B-17 or left a record, we may never know.

Does anyone know the name of Jame's plane in 613th squadron?

In the Blue Book there is a picture of Lt Sharpe's crew holding an A2 flying Jacket.

The jacket states the name 'Sa Dame Shame'.The Jacket has 30 bomb simbols painted upon it. The Serial number for the B-17 is unknown.

I have checked the crews in the book 'The Best damned outfit in the USAAF' and can only trace one crew for a LT Sharp, so I presume the picture in the Blue Book relates to Lt James C Sharpe.

I hope this has been of help to you.
