Just noticed that my dad's mission was posted on the front page today. His name was Sgt. Thomas H. Smith, from Eleanor, WV. He was the ball turret gunner on "Bad Penny"
42-39904. The aircraft and crew (Lt. S. N. Tonti - pilot) were forced to land in Sweden. Spent their internment at Loka.
