I am trying to find a few patches for my father.  He served in Vietnam and told me that he was part of 615th TFS, and also the 401st wing, not sure what they mean, but thought you guys could help.  I am trying to find the patches to buy for him, and make a memorial for him.  Thanks.

Levi,

Unless you can find a patch collector or dealer that's trying to sell one on line, I suggest looking on E-Bay.  There are very often 401 TFW patches up for auction.  In fact, I just did a search and came up with an auction that's ongoing.  Go to the following link:  http://cgi.ebay.com/401st-TAC-FIGHTER-WING-patch_W0QQitemZ6593780059QQcategoryZ13983QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
This is auction # 6593780059.

You can also go to www.ebay.com and run a specific search for the patches your looking for.  In this case, try different key words, i.e. 401st TFW; 401 TFW; 401st Tactical Fighter Wing; Danang, or Torrejon.  As for the 615th patch, you can probably try the same thing; however, I wasn't able to come up with anything.  Good luck.

Ditto what Jim has told you.  I have also gotten some "newer" 401st and squadron items off of ebay.  Look under 401st, 401BG, 615th or 615.  They come up fairly often.  The 401st TFW also has a website and has reunions with some items for sale as I can remember.

The 401st TFW site can be found at:

The items for sale are under the "Reunion Info" tab.
Hope that helps,

Paul
