Awesome 401 BG Artwork on E-Bay

I thought readers might find this E-Bay item interesting.  It's an original painting of a 615th Bomb Squadron B-17G, IY-Q.  Records on this site indicate this B-17 was named Stormy Weather and was lost on the Chartres mission, 1 Aug 44.  This auction ends on 14 May.  To view this particular auction, go to and search for auction 7413212288.

Here's how the seller described the item:  "Full-color, original painting of WW II B-17 bomber commissioned for book Weapons of the Eighth Air Force by Fred Johnsen and published in 2003 by Motorbooks This painting depicts B-17G of the 401st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force, 1944. The B-17 was the mainstay workhorse of the U.S. Army Air Force during the war, performing gallantly against the German Luftwaffe with great success. Like-new condition, 12" x 5" on heavy illustration board. By Sonny Schug"
