My father was a member of the 612, serving as a waist gunner. I do not have any info about his plane and would be most appreciative if someone could help point me in the right direction. The VA informed me that his service records (and many others) were lost to a warehouse fire. Can anyone help me? A photo of him with his plane and crewmembers would be ideal. Sorry, I looked through the 612th roster and the other 3 squadrons just in case and could not find your dads name listed. This is not unusual and think you should write George Menzel at the 401st's address to see if he might be able to help if no one else post a follow-up message.
