Does anyone out there know anything about my father.He flew with 2nd Lt. Kilmer. Any photos would be greatly appreciated. My Dads name was James S. Alexander

There are no known photos of the airplane he was shot down in, but there is a Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) #5304 (that tells you something right there) that you could probably get a copy of from the Air Force History Office (AFHO).

Jeff, If you will send me your U,S. mail address i will send you the crew list , number of missions flown and a notation on how they were shot down. AND if you know any of that crew that survived, To make a good search, I need first names, home towns and home

They appear to have been shot down over Oscherslaben on 30 May 1944 in aircraft #42-107207

You father, Right Waist Gunner S/Sgt J.S Alexander is listed as a POW

My grandmother received a photograph of my grandfathers/your fathers crew in some sort of publication from the 401st.  Email me and I will send it to you.
