Your father, Sgt. Clyde M. Tarr, was tail gunner on the crew piloted by Capt. R. O. Duckworth. Other members of the crew were: 1st Lt. R. E. Morrow, co-pilot; 1st Lt. W. R. Kunstman, navigator; 1st Lt. R. W. Vucha, bombardier; S/Sgt L. K. Halderman, radio operator; S/Sgt R. C. Comer, engineer; Sgt. G. T. McKeon, ball turret gunner; and Sgt. C. W. Cook, waist gunner.
The crew flew 27 missions from July 8, 1944, to December 24, 1944. The records are incomplete as to the planes they flew on most missions. However, they flew at least one mission in "Blue Bomb Express" and another in "Rough But Right". Their last missions were flown largely in radar-equipped airplanes, which were used by lead planes of the Squadrons.
The co-pilot of your father's crew, Russell E. Morrow, is a member of the 401st Bomb Group Association and resides at 1259 Buck Lane, West Chester, PA 19382.

My father in law was Hollis D Guest who was the belly gunner on the plane Day and Night. He was in the 614th Bomb Squad. I am looking for any information I can find other than just this. If you have any places of interest please let me know.
